Project Watertight

New roof - New look

For the last 10 years Agora Cafe and City Bible Church have sat under the same roof doing community together. During this time Agora has given back $128,987 to the local Hamilton community through its Charity of the Month programme. Agora is a place WHERE COMMUNITY BEGINS, but we need you.

PROJECT WATERTIGHT is a re-roof, paint and gutter replacement of 13b Kent St. The building leaks everytime it rains and is causing damage to facilities and equipment. Total project cost is $140k. $50k has already been donated!

Fundraising begins now. Follow the project on facebook. You can donate direct or visit our givealittle page. Aiming for contractors booked in Dec 2018 and work completed Feb 2019.

Hi friends of Agora. Over the past 10 years, Agora Community Trust has given away over $128,000 to local community groups and charities, but now it’s our turn to do a little fundraising. Agora has been patching up a leaky roof and gutters since we first opened, so it’s time to put on a new roof and make this home of ours watertight! Campbell Forlong is one of Agora’s Trustees and he’s a bit obsessed with running ridiculously long distances. So ... he put together his love of running and his love of Agora to help raise a new roof on Agora. At 6am on Friday 31st August he started running from Mount Manuganui to Raglan to raise money for Agora. That’s 160kms from the East to West coast of NZ - he's glad he doesn't live in Australia.  Catch up on his journey on facebook or donate on the givealittle page.

Compassion & Community

At Agora deeply value compassion and community, and as our way of showing this we created our Charity of the Month programme. Our heart is to not only raise money for these local charities by giving 50 cents of every hot beverage sold, but also raise their profile and to see people connected who may have need for their services, or who are moved to get involved, volunteer or donate themselves. We see it as a privilege that although we can't help everyone personally we can partner with those are on the ground serving those in need - whether financially, physically, emotionally or socially.

If you are part of a local Hamilton charity or not for profit and would like to be considered to be one of our charities of the month please contact for more information.
